2018 Call for Presentations


49th Annual TTRA International Conference

Miami ~ Coral Gables, Florida USA

June 26 – 28, 2018

The 2018 International Conference Program committee is interested in receiving proposals and/or recommendations regarding topics, speakers, case studies, and other suggestions for the program for both general sessions and practitioner breakout sessions. All sessions usually run for 1 hour.

Presentations that might be part of a general session or breakout and could be combined with other speakers/presentations would be important.

The central theme of the conference is “Encouraging innovation in the universe of tourism research”.

The following ideas are under consideration:
What innovations are out there to carry the travel and tourism research industry into the next decade?
Incorporating new technologies into tourism research.
  • Let’s find out how we do that.
How will new aviation carriers meet the needs of the industry in the next 10 years?
  • Will destinations know when to expand to maximize value?
What are the political impacts on the tourism industry?
  • Work can’t be outsourced
  • What is needed t fix this issue?
  • How long will it take?
Understanding the travel behaviors of the next generation of explorers.
  • How do we reach them and how will they be measured?

  • If you would like to recommend a topic/session, please send along a description of what you would like the session to cover and any recommendations for speakers.
