Guidelines for publishing your paper in the 2008 proceedings of the TTRA annual conference
DEADLINE: April 1, 2008
Submission of your paper for publication in the annual Conference Proceedings is optional. Your paper should be e-mailed to Kathleen Andereck (kandereck@asu.edu) following the guidelines provided. Download the Sample Template here. Then, when possible, simply write your paper within the text of the attached example. In other words, just write your title over the title already there. Write your abstract over the abstract…..and so on. It (theoretically) is the easiest way to assure the font, headings, and margins. Thanks for working with me on this! The word document will be saved as an rtf file as well as a word document. But you must request the sample from TTRA.
The paper cannot exceed 10 pages.
A powerpoint presentation is NOT acceptable, nor is a poster format. These are papers, not presentations.
Just in case you run into trouble, here are the basic guidelines to be used in Word:
· 1” margin all around
· Times New Roman Font – 12
· single space
· tab indent (five spaces) the start of each paragraph
· Title should be 14 size the rest of the paper is 12
· For headings and text use the formats in Word:
1. “title” for the title,
2. abstract heading should be “heading 1”
3. “normal” for the abstract text
4. Introduction should be “heading 1”
5. “normal” for all the text
· DO NOT (please don’t!) put page numbers on your document!
· Please make it camera ready – tables and figures should be located in the text where you want them to be located.
If all else fails, simply write your paper in Times New Roman 12, and don’t put any bolding or heading throughout the text. Hopefully this won’t happen, but if e-mail is not possible, then you must send a camera ready (laser printed) version on 8”1/2 x 11” paper.
Send the paper to kandereck@asu.edu NO LATER THAN APRIL 1, 2008!
Guidelines for 250-word Abstract
For production of a condensed version of the Proceedings that conference attendees will use as a guide when selecting the sessions they would like to attend, all paper presenters and special topic presenters are required to submit an abstract of their paper or presentation, 250 words or less. This abstract should be drafted in Times New Roman 12 with no special bolding, indenting or formatting.
These abbreviated abstracts are in addition to the paper requirements (above). The deadline for providing your less than 250-word abstract to TTRA is April 1. Please e-mail your abstract to admin@ttra.com NO LATER THAN APRIL 1, 2008!
The submission of both Papers and Abstracts is optional, if these items are not received in time for production, your entry will not be included.
