Description:The Tourism Business Analyst defines and implements Tourism Toronto’s measurement strategies and provides perceptive analysis of the tourism business environment. By managing Tourism Toronto’s proprietary research projects and synthesizing external sources, the analyst is the organization’s central nervous system for statistical information, consumer insight, economic, industry, and demographic trends. 

The analyst helps define key performance metrics to support the marketing and business objectivesand provide analytics and insight on performance, brand health and marketing attribution programs. The analyst delivers consistent examination of overall consumer insights that shape planning, marketing strategies and drive the visitor economy.

The Tourism Business Analyst role resides within the Marketing department but acts daily as a resource to all business lines.

Position: Research Coordinator

Description:The Research Coordinator assists in the completion of tourism related research projects for Choose Chicago working under the direction of the Director. To be successful in this position, the candidate will be experienced in data gathering, compilation, and general research practices with a particular emphasis on the distribution of analytics and reports relevant to the Chicago tourism community. Working with the Director, the Research Coordinator’s primary functions will be to maintain data systems and provide research support to all departments, partners, and governmental agencies as needed. This position requires a commitment to data quality and management and a desire to develop analytical and communication skills.

The Research Coordinator must be able to handle a wide range of research support related tasks and have the ability to work independently across multiple projects and fast paced assignments simultaneously.

Position: Data Analyst

Description:RRC Associates is a multidisciplinary market research and planning firm located in Boulder, Colorado. We are searching for a Data Analyst to assist with a variety of studies and projects, particularly in the areas of mountain resort tourism, snow sports, and parks, recreation, open space and trails planning.

Qualifications & Responsibilites: Responsibilities for this position include coordination of individual research efforts on a variety of fronts, survey programming and fielding, managing data retrieval remotely, monitoring data quality, processing and cleaning of survey data, and generation of both tabular and graphical data summaries.

The successful applicant will have had experience working and processing large datasets, be detail oriented, and enjoy working in, and contributing to, a strong team environment. Some or all of the following specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities are desirable:

 * Undergraduate or higher statistics course work
 * Must have experience with SPSS or similar statistics packages
 * Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization packages
 * Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
 * Excellent communication skills
 * Familiarity with modern qualitative and quantitative research methods
 * Experience with MS Office, with proficiency in Excel
 * Programming experience with PHP, Perl, or Java a strong plus
 * Strong organizational skills with a particular emphasis on details and accuracy
 * Ability to managing multiple projects independently
 * Ability to summarize and synthesize research results in a concise written format a plus.
