Position: Associate Professor, College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management

Description: The College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management at the University of South Carolina seeks applications and nominations for applicants with expertise in big data analytics. This is a tenure track position at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level. Areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, big data management, data mining, data and visual analytics. This expertise can be in the areas of operations research, industrial psychology, industrial engineering, economics, hospitality management, retail management, sport management, or other related areas will be considered based on the applicant’s record of research and productivity. It is expected that the applicant will have a strong statistical background.

Position: PhD Research Assistantship, School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management (HRTM)

Description: The Ph.D. program in Hospitality Management at the University of South Carolina is seeking highly motivated and qualified Ph.D. applicants for Fall 2017 admission.  HRTM provides doctoral students with high quality education and research training. Students will have the opportunity to learn from some of the industry top scholars and work with various research centers (i.e. International Institute for Foodservice Research and Education, The Richardson Family SmartState Center of Economic Excellence in Tourism and Economic Development, & International Tourism Research Institute). In addition, students will have the opportunity to work on research projects and contribute to the highest level of hospitality and tourism scholarship, while developing innovative solutions for industry and government partners. Admitted doctoral students will have the opportunity to learn and work on cutting edge research projects including but not limited to destination marketing and management, social media, service management, consumer behavior, big data, human resources, and sustainable development..
