RFP postings are uploaded as they are received and remain on the ttra website for 30 days. Notice of new postings will be sent to ttra members and tourism colleagues once per week. Please check the website often to view all open opportunities.

Request for proposal (RFP) postings are complimentary for all ttra members, regardless of their membership level. Non-members are charged $100/RFP posting.

Visit California - Advertising Research Services

Invitation: Visit California, a privately funded nonprofit corporation, is seeking a qualified company to provide brand advertising research services.

 
The California Travel and Tourism Commission d.b.a. Visit California is a private non-profit 501(C) 6 funded by assessed businesses that have an interest in promoting tourism to California. California Tourism is marketed exclusively by Visit California. The Tourism Assessment Program was created under the California Tourism Marketing Act in 1995 with the passage of SB 256. The legislation authorized self-imposition of an assessment by businesses that benefit from travel and tourism. It also authorized the establishment of a non-profit, public benefit corporation, Visit California, to oversee the promotion of California as a premier travel destination.
 
Visit California oversees the production of a variety of marketing activities, including on and offline advertising, visitor publications and maps, cooperative programs, public relations and travel trade programs – all designed to promote California to consumers, media and the travel trade industry. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to seek and retain a qualified company to provide advertising research services; specifically, to evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing efforts in terms of visitation, visitor spend, and related metrics.
 

Deadline: Notice of Intent to Bid (a non-binding document), as well as any questions you may have to clarify this RFP, are due to Visit California no later than 4:00 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), May 17, 2017.

South Padre Island Convention & Visitors Bureau - Special Event Economic Impact Research Study

Invitation: SPICVB is charged with administering and granting Special Events funds to eligible Special Events Organizers and/or Promoters.

 The current policies governing Special Events funds do not contain language nor
methodology requirements explicit and consistent enough to guarantee uniform
measurement of individual events economic impact, and to ensure clear ROI data
for post event reports to the Board.
 As a result of the above, the contract language is too general in its requirements
for post-
 

Deadline:In order to be considered for funding, an original proposal containing one (1) authorized signature, together with three (3) copies must be hand delivered, delivered via U.S. Postal Service, or other mail delivery service by no later than 5:00 pm on June 16, 2017 to the following address below:

South Padre Island Convention & Visitors Bureau - Comprehensive Travel and Marketing Research Study

Invitation:South Padre Island has a critical shortage of data related to the economic impact of travel and visitors, effectiveness of marketing and promotional initiatives targeting leisure travel, meetings and conventions, special events development, etc., customer service and overall experience with our destination experience, emerging markets, visitor profiles, etc.

 The South Padre Island CVB is soliciting proposals from qualified firms and individuals develop a template and plan for an integrated, comprehensive research
program, that focuses on best practices, covering a 5 year timeline.
 Inherent in this request is the need to supply constant and consistent credible data
that will continuously improve the destination marketing performance for South
Padre Island year round.
 South Padre Island's travel market is 85% leisure travel and is marked by an 8 month offseason.
 Proposals should include timeline for research implementation, intents and
purposes of prescribed research, estimated costs for recommended programs and
a summation of projected outcomes for successful utilization of the highlighted research programs and studies.
 Final step should be the outline of a job description for a Research Analyst for
employment full-time
